In August, Parker submitted a photograph for the Reflections competition through his school. We found out a bit later, that he won first place for photography for 2nd grade at his school. In November, we went to the county awards ceremony, and found out he won 1st place for our area of the county in 2nd grade (there are 3 areas in our county), and his photograph will progress to the state level. We are so proud of him. The theme of Reflections this year was "Together We Can..." Parker named his "Together we can DO ANYTHING!" Below is his photograph. He took each of the pictures by himself, and even put them together using the collage software on my computer. There are also some pictures from the awards ceremony. Great job sweet boy!

wait...did I know about 1st place in the county??? That is awesome!! There are some really cute girls on that collage! haha!!
Funny you say that, because I just emailed them earlier clarifying exactly what he won. He either won for the whole county, or our division of Gwinnett. Either way, his admission has gone on to State, but we won't hear for another month or so about that. And YES....cute, cute, girls. Wherever did we find them ;-)
OK....figured it out. He won for Area 3 in Gwinnett (and there are 3 areas). Those 3 areas do not compete until the state level, so they all go to State together. It's a little confusing. Just think....this may make your girls' famous :-)
