What a great weekend! We (the 5 of us and Gamma) left early Friday morning to go to Callaway Gardens for the weekend. We stayed in a cabin in Pine Mountain. We had such an amazing time. We cramed so much into a short time. It was great. I posted a slide show over to the right with lots of pictures, but here is a synopsis of our weekend...
Friday
Animal Safari Adventure
Are you kidding??? Three boys in the middle of a "Safari Adventure"...what more could they ask for. First we did a 3 1/2 mile drive through the "safari". During this time, the animals would walk right up to the car. We had animal feed that we were giving them out of the window. If the window was rolled all of the way down, the animals would literally stick their entire heads inside the car, which really freaked the boys out. Who am I kidding...it freaked us all out. So, we would crack the windows so that we could still feed them, but not allow them to enter the car with us! Davis was pretty scared at first, but he got used to it. Parker liked the smaller animals the best because he wasn't afraid to feed them. And Emerson, well, he was not too amused. He spent the first mile of the drive eating! After the drive, there was a walk through area that we got to see caged animals, like lions and tigers and bears...oh my! Here are some pictures from our adventure...

Saturday
Callaway Gardens
On Saturday, we got up and went into Callaway Gardens. We did so much while we were there. Boat ride, "Birds of Prey" show, putt-putt, trolley ride, Butterfly House, and lots more! Here are some pictures of our day there...

This picture was taken on a boat ride around the lake. The boys loved it!

After we did some things in the gardens, we went to the Butterfly House. Words cannot explain how beautidul it was. The pictures are good, but they do not do it justice. The boys were mesmorized by all of the butterflies. They were literally everywhere. Emerson slept through it all (shocking). I guess we can just show him pictures one day! I absolutely love this first picture! Parker was taking Davis to where Gamma was. It was not a posed picture. It was just how they were walking. Before I blink twice, there will be 3 little boys walking in these pictures!

These were all taken on the drive back to the cabin in the afternoon. They were exhausted to say the least!
Sunday
Time to go home
All good things must come to an end. It was a great weekend.
