Christmas Eve Night

After the Christmas Eve service that we went to with Gamma, we came back home and finished the day with some of our family traditions. Here are some of the pictures of that evening.
The boys always get to open one gift from us on Christmas Eve.

Then we read some Christmas books before the boys go to bed. We always read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and the Christmas Story from the Bible (along with any other ones the boys pick out). The neat thing about this year was that Parker did most of the reading for the first time. It was really sweet. You can tell in this picture that Emerson just wanted to look at Gamma!Gamma spent the night with us which was so much fun. It was the first time that she was here on Christmas Eve, and we all loved it! Are you kidding? I love that face!

The boys right before going to bed. They were sitting by Santa's milk and cookies and Rudolph's carrot. They were so excited, and Parker was adamant that we NOT build a fire that night because he didn't want Santa to catch on fire. He said to Noah, "I can't believe you even thought about building a fire Daddy!" It was too cute.
