The weekend before Emerson's birthday, we had his party at the neighborhood soccer field. It was so much fun. The weather was wonderful, we ate BBQ and hot dogs, and the kids did lots of playing. Emerson had a great time. His favorite part was playing with the balls. He would walk behind them and kick them as he walked. He was hilarious with his cake. At first, he wasn't very interested in it, then he started playing in it and making a huge mess (but still not eating it). He finally ate some of it, but not too much. It was too funny. Here are some pictures from that fun day.

Emerson's girlfriend, Caroline, was definitely at the party. Seems like he may have to fight his friend Camden for her, but he is ready for the fight!

I'm so sorry we missed that special day. And that sweet baby would have known what to do with his cake if his Aunt Jennifer would have been allowed to teach him what to do with it when she was in Georgia for Spring Break!!!!
