The Magic of Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we went to eat Mexican for an early dinner, then went to Gamma's church for a Christmas Eve service. After church, we came home with just the five of us. It was a wonderful evening. The boys each got to open a couple of presents from us. Parker and Davis both got new shoes. I never thought they would be as excited as they were over shoes! After baths, the kids got in their Christmas pajamas, and we read our traditional Christmas books that included 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and the Christmas Story from the Bible. The boys got the cookies and milk ready for Santa, and off to bed they went. This was such an amazing evening. The magic of Christmas with little kids is like nothing else. The excitement was amazing!

Davis opening his new shoes. Parker and his boats...I mean shoes.
Emerson opening his laughing Cookie Monster
Baths...check...snack...check...almost time for bed!
Sweet boys!
Not a good picture, but this is Davis and me running into the rain to sprinkle the reindeer food on the lawn (Parker didn't want to get wet).
Reading the Christmas Story from the Bible.
Not sure what Emerson was doing here, but I thought it was cute!
