There are many things that Gamma has instilled in my boys....one of them is to take time to notice the small things in life. That is why my boys stop to smell flowers, never walk past a beautiful butterfly or a sunrise/sunset without pointing it out to me, and love to watch birds. One of the biggest things though, is their love of the moon. As long as I can remember (since Parker was very small), Gamma takes them outside to look at the moon at night. If she is not with them, but sees a beautiful moon, then she calls them and tells them to go outside and look at it. In addition to this, the book Good Night Moon has become a tradition with her. Everytime any of the grandkids spend the night with her, they read this book. They have different silly things that they do throughout the book. Davis has it memorized and Parker can read it now, but they still love it. Back in November, Gamma took Parker, Davis, and myself to see the musical production of Good Night Moon at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. They loved it. Here are some pictures of our day there and also some other pictures that I have added in.
The first group of pictures are from a night not too long ago when Gamma called and told them to go look at the moon. It was a full moon, and after seeing it, Parker insisted on calling Gamma to talk about it (even though I already knew she had seen it). He just wanted to make sure. Too sweet!
This is Gamma reading Good Night Moon to all 6 of the grandkids this past summer at the beach. Emerson was only 3 months old and he was still included!
I am not sure why these pictures are smaller, but you can still see what a wonderful time we all had!

OK, the picture of Parker on the phone with your Mom just made me cry. That is the sweetest thing EVER. Your Mom is so cool, and they're lucky little boys. And adorable, too!
